Getting started is simple. Here's what to expect.
1. Tell us about your student
Fill out a short form with your student's grade, subjects, and goals. We'll get back to you within one business day.
2. Book your first session
We'll schedule a session at a time that works for you. Choose in-person sessions in Greater Vancouver or online sessions via Zoom — both use a virtual whiteboard.
3. Start seeing progress
Your student gets personalized 1:1 support. We adapt our teaching to how they learn and help them build real understanding and confidence.

Who I Am
Hi, my name is Raziq Kanani, and I am the founder of Cosmic Concept Tutoring. I hold a BSc in Astrophysics, but getting there was far from easy. School was a struggle for me from elementary all the way through university, especially after suffering a concussion in grade 12 leading to an inattentive ADHD diagnosis. I know what it feels like to work hard, still feel stuck, and wonder if maybe you're "just not a math or science person."
My Journey & Why I Started Cosmic Concept Tutoring
Throughout my life, I worked with many tutors. Some helped a little, some not at all, and a few finally changed everything for me. What made the difference was not how "smart" they were, but how well they matched the way my brain learns. Once I found tutoring that actually fit my learning style, school became less overwhelming and, surprisingly, even enjoyable.
Those experiences taught me what makes a great tutor: patience, flexibility, clear explanations, and a genuine understanding that not everyone learns the same way. I started Cosmic Concept Tutoring so students don't have to go through the same trial-and-error that I did. I want to make it easier for students — especially those with ADHD, learning differences, or who have simply lost confidence — to finally feel seen, supported, and capable.

Raziq Kanani
Founder & Lead Tutor
Raziq Kanani is the founder of Cosmic Concept Tutoring and a dedicated educator who specializes in making math and science click for students from elementary school through the university level.
Raziq holds a Bachelor of Science in Astrophysics, building a deep foundation across mathematics, physics, and the broader sciences. His academic background allows him to break down complex concepts into clear, intuitive steps that meet each student exactly where they are.
Drawing on years of one-on-one tutoring experience, Raziq combines technical expertise with a patient, personalized teaching style that helps students rebuild confidence, sharpen problem-solving skills, and achieve real academic results.
Peter Vanikiotis
STEM Educator
Peter Vanikiotis is an elite STEM educator who bridges the gap between complex theoretical concepts and practical academic success for students from elementary school through the university level.
Peter graduated from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering. He was awarded a Faculty of Engineering Plaque for achieving the highest standing in the Civil Engineering program and the University of Ottawa Silver Medal for achieving the second-highest standing in all honours bachelor programs in the Faculty of Engineering.
Peter currently works as a bridge engineer-in-training while pursuing his Master of Engineering degree in Structural Engineering. By combining his top-tier academic background with real-world engineering experience, Peter provides students with the technical mastery and problem-solving strategies necessary to excel in any STEM discipline.

Good to know
- The 10% weekly commitment rate applies to two or more sessions per week per student, on a standing weekly schedule with a four-week minimum.
- Online sessions have no travel fee and are available worldwide.
- Referral credit: one complimentary hour when a referred student completes their first session.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 24 hours or more before a session are never charged.
- Same-day cancellations are charged at 50% of the session rate.
- If your tutor needs to cancel, there is no charge to you.
That said, we understand life happens. Should there be any extenuating circumstances, we'll always be reasonable — just let us know.
