    Grade 10 Math Mastery

Not assignment help. Not drop-in tutoring. A structured math class built to help your child understand Grade 10 math, not just get through it.

Each cohort is capped at 8 students. Once a cohort is full, registration for it closes.

A real class, taught the way it should be

Students don't bring school assignments for someone to help them finish. Each week, the class learns one planned topic from the BC curriculum, practises it with guidance, and then receives a weekly practice set to complete independently at home.

Why Grade 10 is the year that counts

Foundations & Pre-Calculus 10 is where math starts to build on itself. Factoring, linear functions and trigonometry become the foundation for Pre-Calculus 11, 12 and beyond. Students who memorize steps just to finish a weekly practice set often hit a wall the following year. This class teaches the reasoning behind each method, so students can handle questions they haven't seen before. Our online math class is open to FMP 10 students across Burnaby, Metro Vancouver and beyond.

    What 90 minutes looks like

    1. 10 min

      Warm-up

Quick review that catches gaps from last week.

    2. 25 min

      Teach

The new concept, with examples and the reasoning behind it.

    3. 25 min

      Guided practice

Students solve step by step while the instructor sees their work.

    4. 20 min

      Independent challenge

Students apply the concept and explain their reasoning.

    5. 10 min

      Exit ticket

A few questions that shape next week's review.

Raziq is a Burnaby-based tutor with a degree in astrophysics from Saint Mary's University. Through Cosmic Concept Tutoring, he teaches math and science from elementary through university level.

Raziq designed the Grade 10 Math Mastery curriculum in house, building each weekly lesson, guided example and weekly practice set to move the whole cohort through the course together.

“When students understand why math works, they stop needing to memorize it.”

Raziq teaches Cohort A. Cohort B is taught by a Cosmic Concept Tutoring instructor trained in the same in-house curriculum.
